IndiaN Beach Resort

On the east side and the west side of India strech thousands of kilometres of coastline. Modestly developed, most of the places are known for its wild empty beaches, its exotic palm-trees forests where live some fishing communities and its small beach resorts.

During the high season, between October and November, some of these resorts benefit from a growing number of middle class Indian tourists. They are young Indian couples, families and group of friends taking advantage of their new social class to have a few day holidays, to enjoy the sea and to have a lot of fun.

This photos series both documents the social and cultural behaviour of a new Indian middle class at the beach and tourism in seaside resorts.
