Grands Magasins

This project draws its inspiration from two iconic Parisian establishments—Galerie Lafayette and Le Printemps—located along the bustling Boulevard Haussmann in the heart of Paris. Surrounded by offices, shops, bars, and restaurants, these two retail giants attract tourists and Parisians throughout the year. The diverse tapestry of people inhabiting and traversing this vibrant area led me to embark on this photographic journey.

As the project unfolded, my photographs began to encapsulate a narrative that embodies the quintessential essence of Paris, characterized by femininity, charm, sophistication, and fashion. Spanning from the spring and summer of 2014 to 2016, this collection offers a visual journey that goes beyond the storefronts to unveil the unique spirit and allure of this iconic Parisian locale. Through street photography, the project captures everyday moments and the lively atmosphere that make Boulevard Haussmann a symbol of Parisian culture and style.
